The cost of these works will be recovered from the site owner. If he/she does not pay the site will be sold to recover the debt.

This was once the site of a home of one of the Cator family. Post WW2, it was the home of the novelist Jean Rhys. C. 2000, CCARA residents nearby had complained to LBB about the site but I recall that we were told that the owner lived overseas.

Can this be checked before £612k is spent on clearing the site have we assessed, what happen if the owner cannot be contacted. And, they can’t be contacted, might it not be better to offer the £612 to buy the site and get a developer to buy it from LBB and build badly needed new houses/flats?
